Wanted violent sexual predator arrested during San Diego Pride
A man suspected of sexually assaulting men in the Hillcrest area was arrested over the weekend during San Diego Pride at Balboa Park.

SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) -- A man suspected of sexually assaulting men in the Hillcrest area was arrested over the weekend during San Diego Pride at Balboa Park.
While on duty at the festival, officers spotted a man walking nearby who matched the description of a wanted violent sexual predator who had been targeting the LGBTQ+ community, the San Diego Police Department said in a Facebook post Tuesday.
Officers approached the suspect and took him into custody.
Sex Crimes detectives interviewed the suspect and booked him into jail.
He faces charges of kidnapping to commit rape, sodomy of an intoxicated victim and sodomy by force, according to police.
"We are grateful to our teams for locating and arresting this predator before another community member could be harmed," SDPD said.
