Three suspects are behind bars this week in connection with a shooting that fatally wounded a man two months ago at Linda Vista Park.

Sara Benitez, 34, Adrian Alberto Flores Jr., 30, and Christopher Hensley, 32, were arrested Wednesday for allegedly taking part in the slaying of 40-year-old Enrique Nunez, the San Diego Police Department said.

The San Diego Police Department said that patrol officers responding to a report of a shooting shortly before 1 a.m. Oct. 6 found Nunez at the Levant Street park, suffering from gunshot wounds.

Paramedics took the victim to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Police have released no suspected motive for the deadly shooting.

The suspects were booked into county jail on suspicion of murder. They were being held without bail pending arraignment, which is scheduled for Friday afternoon.
