The Social Diary – ‘It’s all about the stoke,’ the art, the architecture!

SAN DIEGO – A fun dual art exhibition at the California Surf Museum and Oceanside Museum of Art kicked off with a gala and big kahuna names attending, thanks to Pierce Flynn and Jim Kempton of the California Surf Museum. “It’s all about the stoke,” as was famously said in the movie “Step Into Liquid,” and yes, I am in it!
Meanwhile, in La Jolla, the La Jolla Historical Society and the Quint Gallery held coordinating receptions of Double Bill: The Art of Manny Farber and Patricia Patterson. The multiple receptions were well attended. Quite a few dogs, too! Remember, La Jolla started as quite the artists’ colony way back when.
