Sea lion with gaff hook in side rescued at La Jolla Cove

The SeaWorld Rescue Team was called to La Jolla Cove in San Diego to help a sea lion with a gaff hook in its side. The hook fell out before the rescuers arrived, and the sea lion was monitored by the team before being deemed to no longer need rescue. La Jolla Cove is a protected ecological reserve known for its sea lion population and is a popular tourist destination.
