San Ysidro High School stabbing leaves girl injured


A stabbing at San Ysidro High School left a student wounded and another youth in custody, police said Wednesday.
The reported assault took place at about 9 a.m. Wednesday at the campus in the 5300 block of Airway Road, the San Diego Police Department said.

Earlier this morning a female student was stabbed on the campus of San Ysidro High school.
SDPD is currently investigating the incident on scene.

The victim, a girl believed to be 15 or 16 years old, was being treated for apparently non-life-threatening injuries.
Officers searching for the assailant found the possible suspect on the campus and took him into custody without incident shortly before 11 a.m., SDPD said.
The youth’s name was not immediately available.
It was unclear what led to the assault.
