San Diego teen arrested for stabbing 18-year-old in Vista altercation

SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) -- An 18-year-old was stabbed after a fight broke out between a group of teenagers in Vista Friday night, police report.
San Diego Police found an 18-year-old with stab wounds near the Starbucks and Vista Transit Center at Main Street and South Santa Fe Avenue in Vista around 9 p.m. Friday.
According to the watch commander, a group of around five or six teens is believed to have been arguing near the Starbucks on Main Street when an 18-year-old was stabbed.
When police arrived, they found the group of teens across the street near the Vista Transit Center on North Santa Fe Avenue.
Officers arrested a 16-year-old from the group, who has been booked into juvenile detention, the watch commander reports. Another teen from the group, a 15-year-old, was detained by police and released to their parents.
The extent of the victim's injuries remain unknown at this time.
Police believe the group all knew each other and are working to determine what led up to the stabbing.
