San Diego Made Holiday Market this weekend at Liberty Station

LIBERTY STATION – San Diego Made Holiday Market — featuring more than 125 local makers and artisans with live music, gourmet food trucks, and seasonal workshops — returns to NTC Park at Liberty Station for an outdoor holiday festival.
The event at 2455 Cushing Road will be held Saturday, Nov. 15, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 16.
Offering the opportunity to shop small and find unique, locally curated handmade gifts, market guests can also enjoy interactive art installations, creative workshops, live music, and family-friendly activities throughout the weekend.
“We were founded over 10 years ago by four local women artists, and we’ve had the opportunity to be in different venues in accessible areas around San Diego,” said San Diego Made spokesperson Rachel Yeakley. “It’s an event meant to be as inclusive as possible. This year, we have over 120 vendors coming. The market has really grown over the last 10 years.”
This year, the holiday market is offering a special perk: Anyone buying tickets in advance will be entered to win a prize pack that includes two gift packs with drink tickets. Live music will include performances by Nathan and Jessie, Lilia Rose, Dev Lovv, and other local musicians.
Food and drink vendors will include offerings from Romantics Coffee, MC’s Kitchen, Talitha Coffee Roasters, and Pacific Island Crave. There will also be cocktails, mocktails, and beer sponsored by Sierra Nevada, Topo Chico, and Barrilitos.
Event tickets are $5 pre-sale or at the door. Guests can upgrade their tickets for $10, which includes general admission and a tote bag. Children under age 10 are admitted free. All proceeds benefit San Diego Made, a nonprofit supporting the region’s creative community through affordable workspaces, educational programming, and arts-based events.
San Diego Made Market is also interactive.
“We intend to not only allow visitors to engage directly with artists and purchase from the makers, but to allow people to immerse themselves in art while listening to live music and participating in artisan workshops,” noted Yeakley.
This year’s market will feature several collaborative, interactive art installations designed to engage and inspire creativity among attendees. One highlight, “Dear World, Dear Loved One,” invites guests to write their wishes for the world and add them among a garden of notes — creating a living landscape of shared intention and unity.
Also, a family-friendly scavenger hunt will take place throughout the market, with participation cards available at the entrance. Guests who complete it will receive a handmade gift while supplies last.
Yeakley added that there will be plenty of activities for kids.
“We’ll have a kids workshop station where they actually create art and learn about appreciating art, recognizing the artist in all of us,” she said, adding that paid market guests can leave to go elsewhere in Liberty Station and then return at no cost later in the day.
San Diego Made is more than a market, said Yeakley. “It’s meant to be an experience, not your typical street fair with just shopping.”
