Pedestrian struck and killed by trolley in Barrio Logan

A trolley struck and killed a pedestrian Tuesday in Barrio Logan, authorities reported.
The light-rail tram hit the victim at Main Street and Sigsbee Street shortly before 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, according to the San Diego Police Department.
The pedestrian died at the scene, SDPD Officer Sarah Foster said.
The rail fatality forced closures of traffic lanes in the immediate area, according to police.
