PACIFIC BEACH – Pacific Beach held its first Trick-or-Treat and Zombie Walk Thursday on Garnet Avenue, which was closed to vehicular traffic.

Businesses from Ingraham Street to Mission Boulevard got into the Halloween spirit and handed out treats to hundreds of kids in costume at the family-friendly event.

“This event is all about celebrating Halloween Pacific Beach-style – bringing together local families, local businesses and local nightlife all in one evening,” said Sunny Lee, executive director of Discover Pacific Beach. “We’re thrilled to activate the heart of Garnet Avenue and showcase the energy and creativity of our community.”
