One in custody as homicide investigation underway following downtown shooting
One person was taken into custody after a shooting in downtown San Diego's Gaslamp Quarter, and an active homicide investigation is underway.

SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) -- One person was taken into custody after a shooting in downtown San Diego Sunday evening.
San Diego Police officers responded to reports of a shooting near the 700 block of Fifth Avenue in the Gaslamp Quarter around 5:15 p.m.
When officers arrived at the scene, they found one person suffering from gunshot wounds. The police department confirmed to FOX 5/KUSI there is an active homicide investigation.
San Diego Police reports one person was taken into custody following the shooting. No other information was immediately available.
