Massive fire damages five downtown El Centro businesses

A four-alarm fire broke out late Wednesday night in downtown El Centro, damaging five businesses and requiring assistance from fire crews in Imperial Valley and Yuma, Arizona. One firefighter was hospitalized for dehydration during the overnight battle, which ended early Thursday morning. Officials are currently investigating the cause of the blaze and have requested that the public avoid the affected area on Broadway.
