Have a Heart for Autism fundraiser and fashion show

The Autism Society of San Diego hosted a morning fundraiser earlier this month, Have a Heart for Autism, at the beautiful Rancho Santa Fe home of Laura Applegate.
Guests arrived dressed in coordinated shades of red and fuchsia, creating a striking fashion moment that set a festive beat for the event.
The affair began with delicious hors d’oeuvres and refreshing drinks as attendees browsed a mix of fashion and art vendors. Booths featured eye-catching hats, while a display of rhinestone-embellished purses added sparkle to the shopping experience. Art and accessories rounded out the offerings, making it a fashionable fundraiser.
One of the standout artisans was Poli, a wood craftsman who uses his autism to create exquisite, heirloom-quality wooden pens known as Poli Pens. His work blended artistry and craftsmanship, drawing admiration from the guests throughout the morning.
Fashion took center stage as models walked around casually showing off the clothing of the vendors. Satori displayed their signature eclectic clothing and accessories from around the world. Their fashions are always vibrant colors and rich textures.
Designer Ladan Khorramian brought luxury to the event with his fashion line Moonlite Couture. His line included lavish cashmere and fur pieces, which added to the excitement of the event.
The event benefited the Autism Society of San Diego, which connects individuals and families with essential resources, including education, information, and referral services, and community programming. Executive director Theresa Contreras and the board president, Kasey Howell, welcomed the guests, spoke about the organization’s mission, and thanked the community for its continued support.
The Autism Society of San Diego is planning a Diamond Anniversary Gala on Saturday, Oct. 3, at the Town and Country Resort. More information about the organization and its upcoming events can be found here.
