Extreme heat warnings and advisories for San Diego County have been extended through 8 p.m. Saturday. While desert regions like Borrego Springs face temperatures reaching 115 degrees, officials warn that high humidity is increasing hydrogen sulfide emissions in the Tijuana River Valley. Relief is expected to arrive on Sunday as temperatures begin to fall toward seasonal averages.
