The game schedule for the Crusaders Soccer Club’s competitive and recreational games has ended.  

“Our competitive teams did very well,” said Crusaders Soccer’s technical director, Victor Melendez.

Here are the results of a number of the competitive teams: 

The Boys 2013 Elite team, coached by Kelly Denham, finished as champions with a record of 12-0; the Boys 2012 Elite team, coached by Ivan Melendez, finished in second place with a record of 10-2; and the Boys 2013 Academy team, coached by Lauren Johnson, finished as champions with a record of 11-0-1.

The Girls 2014 Academy team, coached by Enko Telajun, finished in second place with a record of 8-1-3;  the Boys 2015 Academy team, coached by Mark Dirkes, finished as champions with a record of 10-1-1; and the Boys 2018 Academy team, coached by Jesus Serrano, finished in second place with a record of 8-0-2.

The Girls 2018 Academy team, also coached by Jesus Serrano, finished as champions with a record of 8-4-2; the Boys 2012 Academy team, coached by Modesto Guariniello, finished as champions with a record of 8-3-1; and the Boys 2013 Elite team, also coached by Guariniello, placed second with a record of 8-4-0.  

The Crusaders Recreational Division announced that registration for the recreational spring season will open on December 1.

“Our all-star teams are being formed for the recreational division. All-star players are selected by the coaches from the best players on their team,” said director of coaching for the Crusaders Recreational Division, Modesto Guariniello,

The teams will be playing in one or more recreational-level tournaments during December.

“All our Recreational teams, which regularly play 11 V 11, 9 V 9, and 7 V 7, will participate in a 7 V 7, 3-game minimum playoff for each of our divisions on Saturday, Nov. 15, at the Pershing Middle School fields,” Guariniello added.

The youngest players, born in 2020 and 2021, will play 4 V 4 games, he said. Go to crusaderssoccer.org for more information and to register.  

Crusaders Soccer Thanksgiving camps are right around the corner 

Step onto the field and become part of something special in the inclusive Crusaders Soccer Thanksgiving camps

The invitation is extended to players of all skill levels.

With seasoned coaching directors leading the way, each camp session is dedicated to advancing players’ skills and capabilities while nurturing a sense of unity. 

The dates are Nov. 24-26 from 8:30 to 11 a.m., at the Pershing Middle School fields in San Carlos. Enter from Boulder Lake between Navajo Road and San Carlos Drive. The camp is for all players born 2007-2019.

The goalkeeper camp, for players born from 2009 to 2019, is on the same dates, from noon to 2 p.m.

The cost of each three-day camp is $150, or $100 if players are currently registered as a Crusaders soccer player.
