Firefighters made quick work of a garage fire Saturday, but one person was injured, according to authorities.

Several units from the the San Diego Fire-Rescue Department were dispatched to the 3100 block of Nile Street between Redwood and Thorn Streets shortly after noon.

They found a garage on fire, but it had not yet spread to the rest of the house, officials said. Crews knocked down the flames in less than 20 minutes and limited them to the garage.

One person was transported by ambulance to a hospital with unspecified injuries.

Metro Arson Strike Team investigators responded and remained on scene for at least two hours trying to determine the cause of the fire.
