Comic-Con attendees get exclusive look at 'Predator: Badlands'
At San Diego Comic-Con, the director and cast gave fans an exclusive look at the upcoming "Predator: Badlands" movie, which opens November 7

SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) — The next installment in the Predator franchise -- "Predator: Badlands" is coming to theaters this fall.
Staring Elle Fanning and Dimitrius Schuster-Koloamatangi, 20th Century Studios’ “Predator: Badlands” opens in theatres November 7. Watch the trailer here.
Director Dan Trachtenberg (Prey, 10 Cloverfield Lane) joined stars Fanning (A Complete Unknown, Super 8) and Schuster-Koloamatangi (The Panthers) for a Hall H panel on Friday during San Diego Comic-Con, moderated by Kevin Smith.
The 6,500 fans in attendance got a first look at the latest movie in the Predator franchise while wearing "Predator" masks, as a 7-foot-tall Predator scoped out the room, zeroing in on Smith during the panel.

The latest Predator movie "is set in the future on a remote planet, where a young Predator (Dimitrius Schuster-Koloamatangi), outcast from his clan, finds an unlikely ally in Thia (Elle Fanning) and embarks on a treacherous journey in search of the ultimate adversary," Disney Studios describes.
The new movie comes after "Predator" (1987), "Predator 2" (1990), "Predators" (2010), "The Predator" (2018), "Prey" (2022), and "Predator: Killer of Killers" (2025), as well as crossover movies "Alien vs. Predator" (2004) and "Aliens vs. Predator: Requiem" (2007).
The director gave Comic-Con attendees an exclusive look at the alternate ending of the film, featuring franchise favorites Arnold Schwarzenegger and Danny Glover, and screened the first 15 minutes of the upcoming movie.
Fans also got the chance to take a selfie with Smith, the cast, and filmmakers before they left Hall H, and received an exclusive San Diego Comic-Con “Predator: Badlands” poster.
“In the ‘Predator’ movies, the Predator never wins. They are supposed to be the greatest warrior in the galaxy, and they are always the bad guy,” says Dan Trachtenberg. “The Predator is not a friendly creature… it is ferocious, a bad ass, and very much an anti-hero. And I was really interested in switching that up and pairing a Predator with someone totally unexpected and taking these two unique characters on an incredibly emotional and visceral journey.”
“Predator: Badlands” debuts in theatres on November 7, 2025.
