Beach hazards in effect for SoCal coast as Hurricane Polo nears Baja

Hurricane Polo, currently a Category 5 storm with 180 mph winds, is projected to make landfall in Baja California Sur early next week. Beach hazard statements are in effect through Wednesday for the San Diego, Orange County, and Los Angeles coasts, where elevated surf and potential flooding are expected. Additionally, the storm and Hurricane Odalys will bring increased humidity and temperatures up to 10 degrees above normal to the region.
