3.6 magnitude earthquake felt across San Diego County

SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) -- Residents reported feeling a small earthquake that struck in eastern San Diego County Saturday evening.

The United States Geological Survey (USGS) recorded a 3.6 magnitude earthquake that struck at 7:02 p.m. on Saturday at a depth of 7.3 km between Pine Valley and Julian in East County.

Residents across San Diego County from Chula Vista all the way to Oceanside reported feeling weak to light shaking with the latest earthquake Saturday night.

The earthquake was followed by at least two aftershocks -- a 1.4 magnitude and a 1.2 magnitude -- both also near Pine Valley.
