Tropical Storm Elida to bring high surf to San Diego coast

Tropical Storm Elida, located hundreds of miles off the coast of Mexico, will bring high surf and strong rip currents to San Diego and Orange counties. The National Weather Service issued a High Surf Advisory effective from Sunday afternoon through Tuesday night. While no heavy rain or wind is expected locally, the storm's swells may create life-threatening conditions and tidal overflow.
