Stratospheric cell tower test impacts San Diego Airport
U.S. aerospace company Sceye recently completed a 15,000 km stratospheric test flight from New Mexico to Japan to demonstrate its SceyeCELL technology. While the high-altitude platform successfully tested internet and messaging capabilities, its passage over San Diego caused significant airport delays. The project aims to provide mobile broadband coverage equivalent to 500 cell towers for future telecommunications infrastructure.
