Keep It Saucy! – The Final Chapter – Monstrously good Halloween 2!

SAN DIEGO – A cryptic end to Halloween recipes, scary good, separately or together!
10 minutes
Ingredients: Whole Foods/Costco/or garden hard-boiled eggs, cooked beet juice, dark olives, cherry tomatoes.
Tools needed: Sharp knife, cutting board, a small Pyrex dish or the like.
Prep and serve: For each ‘eyeball’ desired, cut top half of hard boiled egg, carve scraggly lines with knife on egg white portion, not too deep, place in Pyrex, drizzle beet juice repeatedly until egg white cracks hold the beet juice, cut off top of egg slightly, cut circular piece of cherry tomato skin and place on top of the egg for the red retina, cut a tiny circular piece of olive and place the ‘pupil’ in center of tomato, drizzle again with beet juice and set aside in fridge.
This can be enjoyed on toast, a favorite dish, or with this pasta.
