Deputy, man identified in fatal shooting near Imperial Beach Pier

Deputy Maxwell Hammond of the San Diego County Sheriff's Office fatally shot 51-year-old Gary Gates near the Imperial Beach Pier after Gates produced a knife and advanced towards the deputies.
