City of Oceanside announces plan to fix damaged pier end

The City of Oceanside has announced plans to restore the end of its iconic pier following a devastating fire in April 2024. After debris removal was completed in February 2025, stabilization work on the pier's hammerhead is scheduled to begin in October 2026. Structural repairs to the deck and rails are expected to follow in spring 2027, eventually allowing the public to access the full length of the landmark.
