The Municipalities of Malay, Aklan and Taytay, Rizal are strengthening ties through the establishment of a sisterhood relationship aimed at promoting cooperation, knowledge-sharing, and sustainable local development.

The Sangguniang Bayan ng Malay Led by Mayor Hon. Floiran Bautista warmly welcomed the delegation from the Municipality of Taytay, Rizal, led by Municipal Mayor Hon. Allan De Leon, during a courtesy visit held in Malay, Aklan.

Joining the Taytay delegation were LEDIPO Taytay OIC Atty. Dustin Regalado, LEDIPO Taytay Focal Person Cristina “Chin” Gonzales, Taytay Tourism Head Ruel Supendio, PCCI Rizal President Gladdie Mallari and Taytay Garments Representatives, who took part in discussions aimed at exploring opportunities for cooperation and strengthening ties between the two municipalities.

Also participating in the engagement was LEDIPO Malay representative Niel Flores, who contributed to discussions on potential areas of collaboration between Malay and Taytay, particularly in local economic development, tourism, investment promotion, and the sharing of successful programs and practices.

The meeting provided an opportunity for local officials from both municipalities to exchange messages of goodwill, express gratitude, and discuss opportunities for closer collaboration. The sisterhood partnership is expected to encourage the exchange of best practices in local governance while fostering mutual understanding between the two local governments.

The initiative is anchored on Resolution No. 165, Series of 2024, entitled “A Resolution Establishing the Sisterhood Relationship Between the Municipality of Malay, Aklan and the Municipality of Taytay, Rizal, and Authorizing Municipal Mayor Frolibar S. Bautista to Negotiate and Sign a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with the Municipality of Taytay, Rizal.”

The resolution was enacted and approved in September 2024, formally paving the way for the two municipalities to pursue a stronger partnership.

Through the sisterhood relationship, Malay and Taytay seek to create avenues for sharing successful programs, governance strategies, and development initiatives that could benefit their respective communities.

The partnership also highlights the importance of collaboration among local government units in addressing common challenges and pursuing inclusive and progressive development.

The Sangguniang Bayan ng Malay reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening partnerships that contribute to the continued growth and progress of the municipality.

The establishment of the sisterhood relationship marks another step toward building stronger connections between local governments and creating opportunities for meaningful cooperation between Malay, Aklan and Taytay, Rizal.

The successful conclusion of the “Ginoo at Binibining Taytay 2026: The Finale” became a meaningful celebration of beauty, talent, unity, and community spirit, bringing together supporters, public servants, families, and organizations who all contributed to making the prestigious event memorable and inspiring.

The organizers extended their heartfelt gratitude to all sponsors, partners, and supporters whose generosity and trust helped bring the vision of the pageant to life. Their invaluable contributions played a vital role in ensuring the success of the event and creating a remarkable experience for everyone involved.

Special recognition was also given to the parents and families of the candidates for their unwavering love, sacrifices, and encouragement. Their support provided the candidates with the confidence and strength to shine on stage and represent themselves with pride and dignity.

The event was further honored by the presence and support of respected public officials including Mayor Allan De Leon, Vice Mayor JV Cabitac, the members of the Sangguniang Bayan of Taytay, as well as Governor Nina Ricci Ynares and Congress Woman Mia Ynares. Their continued support for community-centered events highlights their commitment to promoting unity, empowerment, and inspiration among the people of Taytay.

Special thanks were also extended to Cristina “Chin” Gonzales and the entire LEDIPO staff for their valuable support, assistance, and dedication throughout the preparation and staging of the event.
